Man charged with obtaining opioids with forged prescription

A Kitchener male was arrested Saturday after using a fraudulent prescription to obtain opioids from a Guelph pharmacy.

On March 29, the owner of a west end pharmacy called Guelph police to report he filled a prescription but later determined the prescription had been forged.

Investigation revealed the identity of the suspect, who was arrested Saturday.

A 22-year-old Kitchener male is charged with fraud and uttering a forged document. He will appear in a Guelph court August 31.
