WELLINGTON - On Aug. 10, 2017 at approximately 4:15 p.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended to a business in Arthur and encountered a male familiar to them.
The male was located with his vehicle and an attached trailer. On the trailer, police observed four Kubota tires and an upper and lower arm of a Kubota tractor.
Investigation revealed that (these items had allegedly been) stolen from a machinery business in West Grey on Aug. 9, 2017. The approximate value of the items is $3,000.
A subsequent search of the vehicle located cheque books belonging to another victim.
Thirty-year-old Wade Brodie of West Grey Township was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 (x2)
- Possession of a forged document
- Fail to comply with probation order
- Fraud under $5,000
He was held for bail court on Aug. 11, 2017.
