At approximately 4:30 a.m. this morning, police responded to a Scottsdale address in response to a female that had been cut with a knife by a man known to her. A 34-year-old Guelph man was taken into custody at the scene and there are no concerns about public safety.
The female victim in this matter received medical attention at the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
The male in custody is charged with assault with a weapon, two counts of breach of probation, aggravated assault and weapons dangerous to the public. He is scheduled to appear in bail court today.
