Collision leads to impaired driving charge

Police say the 28-year-old Guelph man had more than twice legal limit of alcohol in his blood

On Oct. 18, 2019 at approximately 9:40 a.m., Guelph police were called to the intersection of Kortright and Ironwood, where there was a report of a collision. Police were then advised a car rear-ended another car near the intersection and fled the scene. With the assistance of witnesses in the area, police were able to locate the vehicle and driver.

As a result of this investigation, a 28-year-old Guelph male was arrested and charged with impaired driving, dangerous driving and fail to remain. It is alleged the male had over twice the legal limit of alcohol in his blood.
