Man found sleeping behind the wheel accused of having purple fentanyl

Police also found crystal meth and a pellet gun

On Feb. 6 2019, the Guelph Police investigated a suspicious vehicle on Cedarvale Avenue. Police located the running vehicle and a male sleeping inside. The male was found to be in possession of 1.2 grams of crystal methamphetamine and 1.2 grams of purple/blue fentanyl. The male was arrested for possession of controlled substances (two counts), and upon searching the male officers located a black pellet gun.

A 34-year-old Guelph man has been charged with breach of recognizance, possession of a controlled substance - crystal meth and possession of a controlled substance - fentanyl. He is scheduled to appear in court on March 22, 2019.
