On Feb. 16, 2019 emergency services were called to the library for a report of a male in medical distress. The male was found to have several items on him that were considered suspicious. This prompted further investigation by police. Investigation alleges several item in the male’s possession were stolen.
On Feb. 18, 2019 the male turned himself in to police. The 34 year old Guelph male was arrested and charged with three counts of possessing stolen identification, three counts of possessing stolen property, possessing break-in instruments, failing to comply with conditions of an Undertaking and failing to comply with his Probation Order. He was held for a bail hearing.
