Man hanging out of a car leads to charges

A man called police shortly before 9 p.m. on May 29 when he observed a man hanging out the side of a moving silver Chrysler Sebring near Clair Road and Laird Road in Guelph.

Police arrived to investigate and were able to locate the man who had been dragged and found to have received some minor injuries.

The 26-year-old driver was also identified and located with his vehicle a short time later at his home in Guelph where he was arrested for dangerous driving. A search after his arrest also discovered a quantity of a substance believed to be methamphetamine.  

Jonathon McDougall was charged with dangerous driving and possession of a controlled substance. He was later released to appear in court in July.
