Man who was not supposed to be downtown faces multiple charges

At approximately 5 p.m., officers were doing routine foot patrol in the downtown area. A male party, who was known to be on conditions not to be in the downtown, was recognized by officers. When police attempted to arrest this male, he resisted and became assaultive. A taser was unholstered but not deployed.

A 41-year-old Guelph man was arrested and charged with Breach of Undertaking, Assault with Intent to Resist Arrest and three counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance. He was subsequently held for a bail hearing.
