Meth found on man who would not leave business’ washroom

On Aug. 10, 2019, a local business on Woolwich Street contacted Police to remove a non-customer from their washroom facility.

Police attended and located a 27-year-old Guelph male in the washroom consuming a bottle of NyQuil who was refusing to leave.

The male failed to leave when directed multiple times and was subsequently arrested.

A search incident to arrest revealed a small quantity of Methamphetamine and 3 glass pipes.

It was further learned that the accused was on a recognizance with a condition not possess or consume any unlawful drugs or substances.

The accused was further charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Breach Recognizance, and Engage in Prohibited Activity on Premises.

The accused was further held for a bail hearing at the Guelph Police Service.
