TOWNSHIP OF WELLINGTON NORTH - On Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2018, the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police received a report of several sexual assaults that occurred in Wellington North and Centre Wellington Township throughout the summer. The assaults involved the same male suspect but different young male victims.
Following a thorough investigation, the Wellington County OPP Major Crime Unit has charged Raymond Squires, 55 years old of Minto Township, with the following Criminal Code offences:
- Sexual interference x4
- Sexual assault x4
- Invitation to sexual touching x2
- Fail to comply with prohibition order in relation to children x3
- Providing false information under the Sex Offender information Registration Act.
The accused was arrested and held for a bail hearing.
