A Rockwood teen had his mother’s car impounded for two weeks after he was caught Sunday driving nearly twice the speed limit, say Guelph police.
Just before 2 p.m. a member of the Guelph police traffic unit was patrolling on Stone Road East when they clocked a vehicle travelling 117 km/h in a posted 60 km/h zone.
An 18-year-old was charged with stunt driving. His licence was suspended for 30 days and the vehicle, registered to his mother, was impounded for 14 days.
