A male was seen on Carden Street swinging a crowbar and threatening passersby

The following news releases were issued today by the Guelph Police Service:

Man with crowbar arrested

At approximately 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 15, a male was seen on Carden Street swinging a crowbar and threatening passersby. The male was quickly located and arrested by police.

A 34-year-old Guelph man is charged with weapons dangerous to the public peace, breach of probation, breach of recognizance and breach of undertaking. He was held in custody and will appear in bail court.

Vehicle collisions

Over the weekend there were 22 vehicle collisions reported to police and there were minor injuries reported in four of those incidents.

One of those collisions occurred near the corner of Stone Road and Edinburgh Road on Dec. 17. At approximately 8:15 p.m., there was a collision between a four-door grey Oldsmobile and black Ford Escape.
