Guelph Police responded to 612 calls for service over the weekend

The following news releases were issued today by the Guelph Police Service:

Thefts of motor vehicles
Sometime over the night of July 13, 2019, a blue Ford F150 supercab was stolen from a commercial lot on the west end of the city. The vehicle has not been recovered. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Constable Mark Medulun at 519-824-1212 ext. 7346, leave an anonymous tip at Crime Stoppers 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or submit an anonymous tip online.

Early on the morning of July 15u, 2019, two suspects were observed checking car doors in a residential neighborhood in the south end of the city. The suspects found a grey Pontiac Montana to be unlocked, located the ignition key inside the vehicle and drove the vehicle away. The vehicle has not yet been recovered. The Guelph Police Service reminds the community to be vigilant in locking their vehicles and not leaving an ignition key inside the vehicle.

Break, enter and theft from commercial building
Sometime during the night of July 11, 2019, a commercial building under renovation in the west end of the city was broken into. Numerous items including air conditioners and brass fittings were stolen. Male assaulted while walking dog
On the afternoon of July 13, 2019, a male was walking his dog in the west end of the city when two females came up from behind him and assaulted him. Ambulance attended on scene and treated the male for minor injuries. The female suspects were not located by police. Break, enter and theft from apartment
Sometime during the day of July 13, 2019, an unlocked apartment located in a building on the west end of the city was entered. Numerous items including cash and medication were stolen. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Constable Amanda Anderson at 519 824 1212 ext.7282, leave an anonymous tip at Crime Stoppers 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or submit an anonymous tip online.
