Police looking to identify two people
On June 12, 2016 at approximately 11 p.m., the Guelph Police were called to the plaza at 666 Woolwich Street by a citizen who observed a male being physically aggressive with a female. The two left the area on bicycles. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate anyone matching the description of the two involved parties. Police are looking to identify the two to ascertain the well-being of the female.

The male is described as white, 40 years, approximately 6’, medium build, blonde hair, wearing a red coat, a backpack, and a white baseball cap. The female is described as white, 38 years old, approximately 5'7, dark red dyed hair, medium build, wearing a blue coat and had a blue bike. |

Break and enter
On June 12, 2016, the Guelph Police went to a Lemon Street residence to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) entered the garage and stole a bike and electric tools sometime overnight. The bike is described as a 2006 Brodie Thumper with a KFUN 700 watt motor attached.

Collision leads to arrest
On June 12, 2016 at 3:23 a.m., the Guelph Police went to West Acres Drive and Northwood Crescent after receiving a call from Guelph Wellington Emergency Medical Services (GWEMS). A vehicle had left the roadway and struck a light pole. The male driver received minor injuries and was being treated by GWEMS. Police subsequently arrested the male and he was transported to the Guelph Police station.
Erick Landaverde Pereira, 38 years old of Guelph has been charged with drive over 80mg. He was also charged under the Highway Traffic Act with careless driving. He will appear in court on June 28, 2016.
Break and enter
On June 10, 2016, the Guelph Police went to a New Street residence to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) entered the home through a porch side door sometime during the day. The theft of a Macbook Pro computer and charger is reported.

Stolen bike
On June 10, 2016 at 6:30 p.m., the Guelph Police went to a Plymouth Court residence after receiving the report of a disturbance in an apartment. Once inside, police found that any disturbance that may have been going on was over but did locate a mountain bike. A check into the bike discovered that it had been reported stolen on May 11, 2016 from Northumberland Street. The male in the apartment was arrested.
Damien Hitchcock-Hurst, 20 years old of Guelph has been charged with possession of stolen property under $5,000 and breach of probation. He will appear in court on July 4, 2016.
Theft from cars
Over the weekend the Guelph Police received eight reports from Guelph residents about thefts from their cars. The locations were Delhi Street, Vancouver Drive, Kathleen Street, Irving Crescent, Barber Avenue, Wolfond Crescent, Palmer Street and Vista Terrace.
This crime is easily avoided by locking your cars, keeping valuables out of sight or removed from your vehicle and parked in a well-lit and visible area where possible. June 10 - In the area of Downey Road from 8 p.m. - 9 p.m. - 5 tickets issued.
June 11 - In the area of Woodlawn Road at Governors Road from 5:30 p.m. - 7:40 p.m. - 17 tickets issued.
June 11 - In the area of Maltby Road West from 6:05 p.m. - 8:05 p.m. - 11 tickets issued.
June 12 - In the area of Edinburgh Road South from 4:50 p.m. - 6:40 p.m. - 5 tickets issued.
