Disturbance, bicycle theft, calls for service

The following are news releases issued by the Guelph Police Service:

On Saturday, March 17, 2018, at approximately 9 p.m., Guelph police were called to a south end address for a report of a disturbance. Investigation revealed a male allegedly caused damage to property. A 16-year-old Guelph youth was arrested and charged with mischief under $5000 and breaching his officer in charge undertaking. He was held for a bail hearing.

On Saturday, March 17, 2018 Guelph police were called to a north end department store, where a staff member had his bicycle stolen. Investigation revealed the identity of the suspect. Police attended to a location where the suspect was known to be and located him and the bicycle.

Robert Sevigny, a 53-year-old Guelph male, was charged with possession of stolen property. He was given a May 4, 2018 court date.

Between 7 a.m. on March 17, 2018 and 7 a.m. on March 19, 2018, the Guelph Police Service dealt with 467 calls for service.

There are no major incidents to report from St. Patrick’s Day.
