The Guelph Police Service is investigating after a pair of apartment buildings were entered and laundry machines broken into.

At approximately 2 p.m. Thursday, the property manager of the two buildings located on Willow Road near Edinburgh Road North called police to report the burglaries. Video on site showed an adult male and adult female using a pry bar to open each building’s front door, then proceeding to the laundry rooms where they covered the video cameras with duct tape before breaking into the machines.

No estimated loss or damage figure is available.

The male is described as wearing a green button-up jacket, jeans, blue and green running shoes and a New York Yankees toque. The female was wearing a black and grey sweater with white stripes on the arms, black pants with a white stripe on the legs, black shoes and a backpack. She also appeared to walk with a limp.

The incident is under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Const. Kiera Bunnaman at 519-824-1212, ext. 7368, email her at [email protected], leave an anonymous tip for Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), or leave an anonymous tip online at www.csgw.tips.
