On Thursday 15 June, 2017 at approximately 8:10 p.m., a blue 2007 Kawasaki motorcycle was travelling southbound on Gordon Street north of Clair Road.

That motorcycle made contact with a southbound 2005 GMC Sierra pickup truck causing the motorcycle operator to lose control and ejecting him from the motorcycle.

The motorcycle operator was dragged under the front right wheel of the pickup truck for approximately 10m before the truck came to a stop.

The 47-year-old male motorcycle operator was transported to Guelph General Hospital where he is being treated for multiple fractures and abrasions.

The 23-year-old driver of the pickup truck was not injured.

It is believed that the involved motorcycle travelled southbound on Gordon Street from Wellington Street just prior to the collision.

Any person(s) who witnessed the collision or any events leading up to it are asked to contact Acting Sergeant Dan Mosey of the Traffic Unit at (519)824-1212 ext 7225 or [email protected]
