CITY OF GUELPH - On Apr. 29, 2017 at approximately 12:10 p.m., a Wellington County OPP officer was monitoring traffic on Highway 6 near Laird Road in the City of Guelph.
The officer observed a female driving a 2017 Nissan Micra travelling at a speed that appeared to be well above the posted speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar at approximately 134 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.
28-year-old Lian Wei of Richmond Hill has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and will appear in Guelph Provincial Court on Jun. 7, 2017.
Her driver's licence and vehicle were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.
