One business targeted in three consecutive break-ins

The General Investigations and Special Projects Unit concluded a break and enter investigation with two arrests. On May 5, 6 and 7, a south end business was the target of consecutive break and enters over the weekend, while it was closed. Suspects allegedly stole a number of items including several meters of copper wire and car batteries. 

On May 8, 2018 the General Investigations and Special Projects Unit concluded the investigation with the arrest of two parties. A 30-year-old Guelph male was arrested and charged with three counts of break and enter, one count of possession of break-in tools, one count of possession of stolen property, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, two counts of breaching his probation order and one count of breaching an Officer in Charge Undertaking.

A 24-year-old Guelph female was arrested and charged with possession of a prohibited weapon (knife), possession of stolen property and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.

The stolen items were recovered and returned to their rightful owner.
