One dead, two hospitalized in Centre Wellington crash

TOWNSHIP OF CENTRE WELLINGTON, ON - On May 1, 2020, at approximately 4:15 p.m. the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with Guelph-Wellington Paramedic Services and Centre Wellington Fire and Rescue responded to a serious motor vehicle collision involving two motorcycles and a pickup truck on Wellington Road 19 at the Sixth Line of Centre Wellington Township.

Preliminary investigation revealed that two motorcycles were travelling eastbound followed by an eastbound pickup truck when the collision occurred.

A male motorcycle operator was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and has since succumbed to his injuries.

A female motorcycle operator was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the pickup truck was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The Wellington County OPP along with West Region OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) continue to investigate the collision.
