One in critical condition after two pulled from Guelph Lake

Paramedics removed the couple trapped approximately 200 feet from shore

Thin ice seen on Guelph Lake on Wednesday. A 62-year-old male and a 62-year-old female were pulled from the water late Wednesday afternoon.

TOWNSHIP OF GUELPH/ERAMOSA - Today at approximately 3:30 p.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of two people who had fallen through the ice on Guelph Lake.

OPP, Guelph Fire Department and Guelph-Wellington Paramedics Service removed the couple trapped approximately 200 feet from shore. Both were rushed to local hospital.

A 62-year-old male from Guelph is reported to be in stable condition and a 62-year-old female from Guelph is reported to be in critical condition.
