Operation Impact results variety of charges

Over the Thanksgiving weekend, Guelph Police took part in Operation Impact. This national campaign is designed to make Canada’s roads the safest in the world.  Police efforts focused on driving behaviours that put drivers, passengers and users of the road at risk.

During the four-day campaign Guelph officers issued the following charges:

  • One Prohibitive driving (Criminal Code suspension)
  • One three-day driver’s licence suspension
  • One seatbelt violations
  • 14 Aggressive driving – Speeding
  • One Aggressive driving – Unsafe lane change
  • Two Aggressive Driving - Fail to yield
  • Three Aggressive Driving – Careless Driving
  • One no insurance violation

Guelph Police would like to remind drivers to pay attention to the road at all times and refrain from aggressive and distracted driving behaviour.
