TOWNSHIP OF WELLINGTON NORTH - At approximately 12 p.m. on Friday, June 23, 2017 Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a road that was washed out at a trailer park, Sideroad 5 East, Mount Forest.
High water levels from heavy rain caused a flood at the Spring Valley Cottage and RV Resort. Water disrupted hydro, water and sewage services and damaged roads for the 335-site family camp ground.
OPP, Wellington North Fire Service and Guelph-Wellington Paramedics Service are currently assisting staff in removing campers. There are no reports of injuries and damages have not been estimated at this time.
