OPP looking to speak with driver who approached girl

TOWNSHIP OF CENTRE WELLINGTON - On Oct. 3, 2017 at approximately 3:25 p.m. the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a complaint of a driver approaching a girl on Ferrier Street at Elgin Street, Town of Fergus.

Investigation revealed that an 11-year-old girl got off her school bus and proceeded to walk down Ferrier Street. A vehicle described as a dark blue, four door car approached the girl from the west-bound direction.

The driver crossed over the centre line and pulled alongside the girl. The driver asked the girl if she wished to have a ride home but she declined.

Once home the girl advised her mother who called OPP.

The driver is described as a white male approximately 65 years old with a baldish head and white hair cut short to around his ears. He had a normal build with a grey beard/moustache approximately a few inches in length. 

He had a deep voice and was wearing a baggy T-shirt. The vehicle is described as a dark blue, four door car.

OPP are looking to speak with this driver. Anyone who has any information about this driver is asked to call Wellington County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
