Information has been received that the manufacture had removed the swings to replace them with accessibility swings. The swings were not stolen.

WELLINGTON - On the morning of Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2017 Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a theft of playground swings from a newly installed playground on Murphy Street, Mount Forest.

Sometime between Saturday, July 29, 2017 and Sunday, July 30, 2017 unknown suspect(s) removed two infant swings from a newly installed playground. The swings were installed after recent flooding and are estimated at $250.

The suspect(s) would have access to specialty security tools as the swings were installed with tamper-proof screws or a working knowledge of such equipment. The swings are black Little Tikes Tot Seat. They are your typical black rubber commercial playground swing found in many public parks.

Any person with information regarding this or any other criminal activity should contact the Wellington County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
