Passenger seriously injured in Erin crash

TOWN OF ERIN, ON) - On Jan. 26, 2020, at approximately 5 a.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a serious collision involving two motor vehicles on Wellington Road 24, south-east of Hillsburgh in the Town of Erin.

Initial reports indicated that two sedans had collided and three people were injured.

OPP, the Town of Erin Fire Department and Guelph Wellington Paramedics Service attended the scene and treated the injured. A passenger in one of the sedans, a local woman, was transferred to a trauma centre with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The two drivers were taken to a local hospital with less serious injuries. There were no other passengers involved.

The road will remain closed while OPP investigate the cause.
