On Jan. 29, 2018, Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) entered into a fraud investigation in regard to a victim's credit card being used fraudulently over a period of time.

Investigation revealed that the accused had assisted the victim as a personal caregiver since June 2017. During this time, the accused (allegedly) accessed the victim's credit card information. The accused then made numerous purchases using the victim's credit card.

Twenty-five-year-old Jessica Ashley Kelly of Fergus has been charged with fraud over $5,000, use of credit card and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000. She is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on March 6, 2018 to answer to the charges.
