Pickup truck used to break into west end business

Guelph police are investigating after suspects used a pickup truck to pull the security bars from the front of a west end business early Thursday.

Shortly before 3 a.m. police say they were called to an alarm at a business on Silvercreek Parkway North near Campbell Road. Officers arrived to find the front door smashed and security bars which had been inside the business were outside.

Surveillance video revealed three males arriving at the business in a white Ram pickup at 2:40 a.m. The truck is seen reversing to the front door, then driving forward and reversing several times. A quantity of tools were stolen.

The suspects were described as:

  • Male, tall with a thin build and wearing a red jacket, blue jeans, a blue hat and a black mask
  • Male, white, average height, medium build wearing a black jacket, grey hoodie and grey/green pants
  • Male, average height, medium build, black leather jacket, blue jeans, grey shoes
