COUNTY OF WELLINGTON - The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in partnership with the Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA) is pleased to announce the reopening of several of the GRCA properties throughout the County for day use and overnight camping - but is asking outdoor enthusiasts to plan ahead.

Visit this link for the most up to date information to ensure that the destination that you are headed to is open and confirm the hours of operation.

Wellington County OPP along with the GRCA is reminding the public that the GRCA property located in Everton by the bridge is private property and not for public use, including the river.

This area has seen a large increase in visitors resulting in numerous complaints involving trespassing, liquor consumption, parking violations, and excessive noise. Keep in mind that alcohol can only be consumed in a residence, licenced premise or private place and combining alcohol and water activities along with other prohibited activities is never a good idea.

OPP are conducting enforcement in the area and are asking people to obey the no trespassing and no parking signs.

Provincial Offence Notices may be issued to persons and vehicles found in contravention of the signs. "We completely understand that people want to get out and enjoy this beautiful summer weather but please do so responsibly and lawfully". Acting Inspector Paul Richardson. Wellington County OPP Detachment Commander.
