On Dec. 2, 2017 at 12:25 p.m., the Guelph Fire Department responded to a report of a plane down at the Guelph Airpark.

Units from Guelph Elizabeth Street, Speedvale Avenue, and Wyndham Street fire stations, arrived on scene and found a single seat airplane with one pilot, on the ground off of the runway with the nose down.  

Both OPP and paramedics were also on scene. The single male patient was removed from the plane and taken to hospital for assessment.

There were no injuries to others on scene, or emergency personnel.
