Shin Sasaki was located camping on a farm just north of Guelph today.

He is safe and sound.

Thanks to all of the public tips that we received from the public.

Original Oct. 6 release

On Oct. 4, 2016, Shinichi Sasaki was reported missing to the Guelph Police Service. 

He was last seen by family on Monday Sept. 19, 2016 in the afternoon at his home in Guelph. 

On Sept. 25, 2016 Sasaki contacted a friend and advised he was going to stay in a “bush” somewhere. Sasaki has not been seen or heard from since. 

Shinichi Sasaki is a 38-year-old Japanese/Canadian male who suffers from depression. He is described as 5’-9”, 142lbs, with short black hair (with one long strand) and brown eyes.

He has been known to use a “KHS” black bike with green lettering on it to travel around Guelph.

Police and Family members are concerned for his well-being and are asking anyone with information on Shinichi Sasaki’s whereabouts to contact the Guelph Police Service at 519-824-1212 or the investigating officer Det. Cst. Jeff TAYLOR at 519-824-1212 extension 7333.   

For those who walk their dog along trails/take nature walks, and have noticed signs of someone living within the trails/woods, please do not hesitate to call and provide this information to police.
