Police ask for witnesses to fatal Puslinch collision

TOWNSHIP OF PUSLINCH - On Sept. 22, 2018, at approximately 5 a.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic collision involving two motor vehicles on Wellington Road 46, south of Guelph. A collision had occurred at the intersection of Brock Road (Gordon Street) and Maltby Road and multiple people had sustained serious injuries.

Wellington County OPP along with Guelph Wellington Paramedics Service and Guelph City Fire Department attended the scene. One of the drivers was pronounced dead at scene. A passenger and another driver were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the collision is currently being investigated by OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) and the roadway will remain closed until further notice.

The deceased will not be identified until next of kin have been notified.
