Police discover suspect inside Elizabeth Street business

On Nov. 8, 2017 at 12:10 a.m., Guelph Police were patrolling on Elizabeth Street when a bay door to a business was observed to be open.

Inspection of the business discovered a man inside, two motor vehicles that had been turned on and were running, and a window that had been broken to gain entry. The man was arrested and found to be in possession of a substance believed to be crystal methamphetamine.

A 28-year-old Guelph man has been charged with break and enter, attempt theft of motor vehicle, three counts of breach of probation, and possession of a controlled substance. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
