On May 31, 2019 at approximately 2:30 a.m., a vehicle fled an OPP RIDE checkpoint in the area of the Hanlon Expressway South. The vehicle was later located by Guelph Police, and it was unoccupied. Witnesses reported the male driver had fled the vehicle on foot.
PSD Charger was deployed for a track, and the suspect was located approximately 200 m away, passed out and concealed in tall grass.
The suspect was arrested for dangerous operation, flight from police and numerous other charges.
