TOWNSHIP OF PUSLINCH - On Mar. 18, 2017 at approximately 4 a.m. the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was dispatched to a single motor vehicle collision on Arkell Road near Watson Road in the Township of Puslinch.

Initial reports indicated that the vehicle, a 2004 Chevrolet, had extensive damage and the driver may require ambulatory services.

Upon arrival of officers the driver fled on foot into an adjacent bush line. The Canine Unit and Emergency Response Team (ERT) attended and began tracking the driver towards the City of Guelph.

While the search was continuing, officers were able to finally reach the driver on his cell phone and persuade him to attend the nearby OPP Detachment.

He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on May 3, 2017 to answer to the charges.
