Police find suspected purple fentanyl during arrest

On Aug. 7, 2019 at approximately 4 a.m., an officer on patrol located a female on College Avenue West who was wanted for failing to appear in court. Upon her arrest, she was searched and police found a stolen cheque and a small amount of what is believed to be purple fentanyl.

The 23-year-old Guelph female will appear in court today to face charges of fail to re-attend, possession of schedule 1 (drugs), and possession of property obtained by crime.
