Police investigate after $25,000 worth of cigarettes, cash stolen from Elora gas station

Police say the incident took place on July 15 between midnight and 5 a.m.

TOWNSHIP OF CENTRE WELLINGTON - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Wellington County Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) is continuing to investigate a break and enter that occurred at the Esso Gas Station located on Wellington Road 7 in Elora.

It was reported that on July 15, 2021 between the hours of 12:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. unknown suspects gained access through the roof of the business and stole approximately $25,000 worth of cigarettes and cash.

Anyone with information is asked to call the OPP toll free at 1-888-310-1122 or on line at www.opp.ca/reporting.
