Police investigate suspicious fire in Erin

TOWN OF ERIN - On Aug. 26, 2017 at approximately 5 a.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with fire crews from Town of Erin Fire and Emergency Services responded to a report of a fire at 19 Pioneer Dr., Town of Erin.

The fire occurred at a storage yard for porta potties. Approximately 24 porta potties were destroyed in the fire and several others were affected by the heat. Damage is estimated at approximately $40,000.

OPP and Town of Erin Fire and Emergency Services are investigating and the fire is deemed to be suspicious.

OPP are asking anyone who may have information regarding this incident to please call Wellington County OPP at 1-888-310-1122. You may be eligible for a reward from Crime Stoppers of up to $2,000.
