CENTRE WELLINGTON - On Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017, members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a mischief to a passenger vehicle on Barker Street, Fergus. It was reported that unknown suspect(s) had loosened the tires nuts on the vehicle.

The mischief was identified before anyone was injured. OPP are actively seeking to identify if this is an isolated incident.

Wellington County OPP would like to remind the public that a vehicle, in anything less than 100 per cent operational condition, could result in a fatally hazardous situation. Please routinely check your vehicle and ensure that no one has tampered with it.

If you suspect your vehicle has been tampered with call your local police service and report it.
