Police look for window-jumping suspect in break and enter investigation

On March 9, 2018 at 11:04 a.m., Guelph police were called to the south end where residents came home and discovered someone was in their house. 911 was called and police were dispatched immediately. Prior to police arrival, the suspect smashed out a second floor window and jumped out of the house. The suspect then fled and was last seen on Teal Drive.

The suspect is described as white, male, young, wearing a black baseball cap, blue jeans and a black jacket. Investigation continues into this incident. It is believed that, at some point, the male suspect got on a bicycle and fled the area. It appears jewlery was taken from the residence. Police would like to highlight that there is no danger to the public.

Police are asking anyone residing in the Teal Drive and Downey Road area, who may have a home security system with a camera that looks out, to look through video from approximately 10:45 a.m. until 11:30 a.m..
