Police looking for information on vehicle stolen in Fergus

Truck, trailer and maybe even a Christmas Tree stolen, say police

TOWNSHIP OF CENTRE WELLINGTON - On Monday, Dec. 10, 2018, members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a stolen vehicle from Beatty Line, Fergus.

It was reported that a white 2018 GMC Sierra pickup with dump box and bearing Ontario marker AW14601 was stolen. Attached to the truck and also stolen was a 16' white enclosed Discovery trailer containing two industrial lawn mowers, a red 52" Exmart Advantage stand behind mower and a 48" yellow Hustler Raptor SD sit-down mower with hopper. The theft occurred sometime over the weekend of Dec. 7, 8 or 9, 2018.

The stolen truck was later observed on a surveillance during a fuel theft from a gas bar on Collage Avenue in Guelph at approximately 11:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, 2018. An unknown Christmas tree was spotted in the bed of the truck and police have not ruled out that the tree was also stolen.
