At approximately 6:40 p.m. on Sept. 18, police observed a male who seemed to be having a difficult time operating a motorcycle along Woodlawn Road.

The other issue was that the driver was also operating it on the pedestrian sidewalk. The vehicle pulled into a parking lot and came to a stop where police spoke with the driver.

It was learned that the driver was prohibited from driving any kind of motor vehicle anywhere due to a previous Criminal Code conviction. The male was arrested and the motorcycle was impounded.

Damien Hitchcock-Hurst, a 21-year-old Guelph man, was charged with driving while disqualified and breach of probation. He was later released and will appear in court on Oct. 31, 2017.
