Police officer kicked during ATM campsite call

Man camping out at local ATM arrested:

An employee at a local bank contacted police at 7 a.m., on February 28, 2017 concerned about a male who had set up camp within the bank’s ATM vestibule.

When police arrived to speak with the male, he kicked one of the attending officers after the male was asked to leave the premise.  

A 27-year-old Guelph male of no fixed address was arrested and charged for assaulting police, resisting arrest, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of stolen property and failing to leave a premise when directed under the Trespass to Property Act. The male was held in custody and will appear in bail court on March 1, 2017.
