Police recover body from Speed River

On June 13, 2018 at approximately 9:20 p.m., the Guelph Police were called to the area of Arthur Street and Wellington Street in the City of Guelph where a citizen reported what appeared to be a body floating in the river. The Guelph Police Service has confirmed that they have located a body of a male in the Speed River.

Due to the fact that the police have not yet identified the male nor notified the man’s next of kin, no further information will be provided at this time. Anyone with information in relation to this case is asked to contact Sgt.
