Police respond to break-in at Nostalgic Wood

WELLINGTON NORTH TOWNSHIP - On Mar. 7, 2017 at approximately 8 a.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Officers responded to a report of a break and enter to the business of Nostalgic Wood in the Town of Mount Forest. 

OPP attended the business and reviewed evidence of a suspect entering the shop and taking several items with him when he left.

Officers were able to identify the suspect and later locate him at his residence. The suspect was located with other items stolen from an earlier B&E from the Canadian Tire store located in the Town of Mount Forest.

35-year-old Gordon Kostal of Mount Forest is charged with;

  • Break and enter - Criminal Code (C.C.)
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 X 2- C.C.

Kostal was held for bail and scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on Mar. 8, 2017.
