Police respond to shed fire on Clark Street

The cause of the fire, along with a damage estimate, is under investigation

On Sept. 9, 2018, the Guelph Fire Department responded to a reported fire at 45 Clarke St. W.

Arriving at the scene, firefighters found a backyard shed adjacent to the home engulfed in flames.

The fire was quickly brought under control and subsequently extinguished by the first arriving crew. A thorough search of the home was made to ensure all occupants were out and that fire had not extended inside. Light smoke was ventilated from the residence.

There were no injuries to residents or firefighters.

The cause of the fire, along with a damage estimate, is under investigation by Guelph Fire investigators who remain on scene at this time.
