Small fire leads to arrest
On December 13, 2016 at 5:13 a.m., the Guelph Police went to 576 Woolwich Street on the request of the Guelph Fire Department who had just dealt with a fire in the stairwell.
Police investigation discovered that a female had set her spandex pants on fire and left them in the stairwell. The responsible female was located at 8 a.m. in an apartment in this building and she was arrested.
The 22-year-old Guelph female has been charged with arson – disregard for life and breach of probation. She has been held in custody pending a bail hearing on December 14, 2016.
