Police search for attempted car theft suspect

At approximately 3:45 a.m. this morning, a Guelph man reported to police that he was confronted at his vehicle by a male with a knife in an Eramosa Road store parking lot. The male demanded the keys to the vehicle and when the victim ran inside the store to call police, the male suspect fled. The area was searched and the male was not located.

The suspect is described as a white male approximately 5’9” tall with a short dark hair and a medium build wearing a black t-shirt, blue jeans and carrying a black back pack.
