Police seek assistance identifying chair theft suspect

On Nov. 6, 2018, Guelph Police were called to a store located at the Stone Road Mall for a theft.

It was learned that on Nov. 5, 2018 at approximately 6:30 p.m., a family consisting of a father, mother, daughter, and young son attended inside the store. (It is alleged that) the mother, daughter, and son distracted the employees while the father grabbed a chair valued at $440 and walked out of the store. The family then left the store and was last seen getting into what is believed to be a black SUV or a black pickup truck with a cab on the back.

The Guelph Police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the male in the photo who is responsible for the theft of the chair. Anyone with information in regard to this theft is advised to contact PC M. Nixon at 519-824-1212 ext. 7028. Anonymous information can be left by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
