Police seek witnesses following pedestrian collision

On Sept. 7, 2017 at approximately 3:27 p.m., a 43-year-old Fergus man was operating a Ford pickup truck southbound on Gordon Street south of Kortright Road.

As the truck approached Harts Lane, a female pedestrian entered the roadway crossing from the west side to the east side and struck the right front fender of the moving motor vehicle. She was “propelled” away from the truck and came to rest on the roadway.

The 20-year-old Guelph female pedestrian was transported to Guelph General Hospital where she was treated for minor injuries.

The investigation is continuing.

Gordon Street (southbound) was closed for a short period of time while paramedics attended to the injured pedestrian.
